About Us
Founded in 2023, Jupiter’s Summit was created to be a vehicle for good, clean fun. When we say clean, we mean everything from production to consumption. Like King Jove, we do not believe in the exploitation of humanity, especially not for cheap labor. Our products are priced fairly to ensure we’re providing the best possible quality while making sure the people making our products are paid fairly too. We also want to protect our consumers the way our celestial neighbor, Jupiter, protects our solar system. We do our absolute best to make sure anything we provide is sustainable and anything you prep with won’t leave your herbs riddled with microplastics.
King Jove
Jupiter (A.K.A. Jove) is the chief deity in Roman mythology, analogous to the Greek god Zeus. As the king of the gods, Jove was associated with the sky, thunder, and lightning; Jove’s concerns for humanity revolved around justice, morality, and protection.
Followers of Jove often worshipped him on hilltops, particularly on the Capitoline Hill in Rome, where the Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus was located.
Symbolically, hilltops were seen as closer to the heavens, emphasizing the god's association with the sky. Worshipping on elevated ground conveyed a sense of elevation, bringing the worshippers closer to the divine realm that Jove was believed to rule.
Practically, hilltops provided a vantage point for observing celestial phenomena, aligning with Jove's role as a sky deity. Additionally, conducting religious ceremonies on elevated ground made the rituals more visible and grandiose, symbolizing the power and majesty of the god being honored.
Jupiter
Our friendly neighbor Jupiter plays a crucial role in maintaining the balance in our solar system. A gas giant with no solid surface, Jupiter has been the subject of numerous scientific missions which have provided valuable insights into the planet's atmosphere, magnetosphere, and internal structure; the study of Jupiter has deeply contributed to our understanding of planetary formation and evolution.
Jupiter's role in our solar system extends beyond its immediate vicinity, influencing the dynamics and stability of the entire system. Its immense size and gravitational influence make it a key player in shaping the architecture and behavior of celestial bodies within our cosmic neighborhood. Due to its size, Jupiter’s gravitational pull affects the orbits of nearby celestial bodies. It helps keep smaller planets in orbit and protects them by acting as a cosmic vacuum, eating asteroids before they have a chance to wreak havoc on smaller planets.
